The story of Duct Tape Publishing can’t be told without a little backstory.

Duct Tape Publishing has its roots, as the name implies, in the small business brand Duct Tape Marketing.

Duct Tape Marketing founder John Jantsch started his marketing consulting firm in the traditional manner some twenty-five years ago.

He quickly found that he loved to serve small businesses, but in order to do so he was going to need to do things a bit differently.

Thus, Duct Tape Marketing, a systematic approach to small business marketing consulting, was born.

As Jantsch filled his practice using this innovative approach, publishers approached and asked for a book outlining the Duct Tape Marketing system.

The publishing of Duct Tape Marketing – The World’s Most Practical Small Business Marketing Guide brought the message of marketing as a system to a global audience and immediately made Jantsch a sought after marketing voice.

Soon, independent marketing consultants, coaches, and agency owners were asking to use the Duct Tape Marketing methodology in their practices and the Duct Tape Marketing Consultant Network was born.

Today, marketing consultants employing the Duct Tape Marketing System reside in over a dozen countries.

Duct Tape Publishing is an initiative born in the knowledge that publishing builds authority and authority brings audience and audience is how a business is built.
